Influenza strikes us every year and the best way to avoid it is to have the flu vaccine.
Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness which can range from a mild to severe infection. It usually presents as a fever, muscle aches, runny nose, cough, headache and fatigue.
Most people will recover within 3-14 days, but some people will develop complications such as pneumonia. Anyone can catch the flu, even healthy people, but there are those in our community who are at greater risk. This includes people with chronic diseases (such as asthma, heart disease or diabetes), those greater than 65 years of age, children under 5 years of age, and pregnant women.
Don’t risk being sick with the flu and book now to see your doctor for the flu vaccine.
