Jane is a consultant pharmacist and credentialed diabetes educator who was born on the Mornington Peninsula, attended local schools and has lived and worked in the area since. She gained her initial qualification in pharmacy form Monash University and has since gained a wealth of experience working in various settings, including community pharmacy, public and private hospital pharmacy, defence pharmacy and in the government sector providing educational services to health professionals. Throughout her experiences across different settings, Jane discovered a need for communities to have more information about diabetes and so returned to university to train as a Diabetes Educator, to better assist people with the management of their diabetes. If you have recently been diagnosed with Type 1, Type 2 or Gestational Diabetes or if you have been diagnosed for some time, Jane can assist you in the management of your diabetes. Areas covered during consultations include medications, lifestyle choices, food choices, exercise options, monitoring, reducing long-term complications, psychological well-being, etc.
